Contest Rules
As a condition to being considered for the contest, you hereby represent and warrant that the following statements are true and correct and that you agree to the terms and conditions contained herein:
Eligibility
The contest is open to all, however, George A. Spiva Center for the Arts (Spiva) and Connect2Culture (C2C) staff are not eligible to participate. Participation in the promotion/contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules.
Design
Be prepared to upload your design in the following format: PSD (Photoshop), AI (Adobe Illustrator), JPG, EPS, or PDF.
Design must be no more than three colors.
The winning design will be selected by the Cornell Complex Opening Events Committee (CCOEC) and printed on the front of the official community open house T-shirt. The color of the shirt is a Heather Blue as pictured on the flyer.
Spiva, C2C, and CCOEC reserve the right to use all designs for future marketing purposes.
No reproduced images accepted. Your submission must be original artwork.
Please do not use copyrighted, trademarked, intellectual property to include but not limited to characters, titles, attractions in your design unless specified within the rules.
There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant during the entry period.
If your submission needs to be reproduced to ensure the highest quality of printing, we will do our best to recreate the most accurate design.

Announcement of winning design: October 24, 2022
Winner will be notified via phone call and email.
Criteria for selecting the winning design
The winning design will be determined by how well the artist incorporates the theme of creativity, arts (visual and performing), and community. It will also be determined by how well the artist showcases how the Cornell Complex will enrich the cultural heart of our city, inspiring people to live, work, play, and stay in Joplin. The design must incorporate the tag line – "your place to be.” The Cornell Complex logo will be incorporated within the front design. It can be done so by the artist, or it will be added after submission by the CCOEC.
Prizes
The winner will receive the following:
$100
One shirt with the winning design
Membership to Spiva
One pair of tickets to a show in C2C's 22-23 performance season
Recognition on Spiva and C2C online platforms
If the selected winner is already a current Spiva member, the complimentary membership will then be deferred to the next year.
Disclaimer
The submission form must be filled out completely and truthfully. If you fail to complete the form, give any false information, or fail to reveal any pertinent information, you may be disqualified from the competition. All decisions are made by the CCOEC and are final.
